I’m Gerry, owner of The Key Locksmith, based in Orpington and serving local homes and businesses across Kent and South East London.
I was born in London, England in 1978 and grew up locally, attending Holy Cross School in Catford and Bonus Pastor in Bromley. After leaving school, I joined the Royal Navy as a Naval Airman SE, serving from 1998 to 2003 at HMS Heron, HMS Seahawk, and HMS Alderney.
After leaving the Navy, I worked as a ductworker from 2003 to 2010 on sites across London, including Wembley Stadium and North Middlesex Hospital. That background gave me a strong foundation in practical problem-solving, attention to detail, and working under pressure.
I’ve lived in Orpington since 2006, where I’m married and raising two children. Outside of work, I’m also a proud Crystal Palace FC supporter.
As a local family man, I understand how important it is to feel safe and secure at home.
I’m also a member of the Master Locksmiths Association (MLA) and the Auto Locksmiths Association (ALA), demonstrating my commitment to professional standards, ongoing training, and trusted workmanship.
Today, I run The Key Locksmith with a simple aim: to provide honest, reliable, and professional locksmith services with clear advice and no unnecessary fuss.
